Onimiki Renewable Energy presents its enhanced project

Langue/Language : FR

Onimiki Renewable Energy would like to thank everyone who took part in the public and targeted information meetings held from March 19 to 21.

“It was important to take the time needed to present the changes made to the project in recent months. We had some very good discussions. People have questions and concerns. That’s to be expected. Every project has impacts. We want to develop a project that will be acceptable to everyone. The partners are very sensitive to this. We will strive to be transparent in explaining our project,” says David McLaren, President of Onimiki Renewable Energy.

A new project notice will be filed with the Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les Changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs later this spring.

Over the summer, additional environmental inventories will be carried out to gather data for further project development.

Subsequently, a new series of information and consultation meetings will be held in the fall of 2024 to hear people’s views, identify issues and propose appropriate mitigation measures where necessary.
