Onimiki Renewable Energy announces that the installed capacity of its hydroelectric power plant project has been set at 60 MW.
Over the past few months, various options for the plant’s installed capacity, ranging from 60 to 70 MW, have been evaluated. In reaching this decision, Onimiki Renewable Energy took into account various technical and economic factors, as well as the results of the environmental assessments conducted to date. The analyses have shown that a 60 MW power plant is the optimal option and the best suited to integrate into the host environment.
Over the coming months, work will continue to finalize the environmental impact study, which is scheduled to be submitted by the end of 2026. In particular, a decision will need to be made regarding the plant’s location, as two options are currently under consideration.
