KEBAOWEK, FEBRUARY 25, 2025 – Onimiki Renewable Energy L.P. announces the next steps in its information and consultation process.
A series of public meetings will be held from March 17 to 20, 2025. A public meeting in English, open to all, is scheduled for April 22nd, 2025. Meetings will be webcasted to reach the broadest possible audience.
Additional meetings will also be planned later in the year, along with thematic workshops to explore certain topics in greater depth. Dates are to be confirmed shortly.
“Since 2022, Onimiki Renewable Energy has held some 30 public and targeted meetings that have helped us improve the project. There are still many opportunities for people to make their voices heard as part of our consultations. The feedback we receive is invaluable in informing our impact assessment and we invite people to participate in large numbers. We remain committed to working together to develop a responsible project that will benefit First Nations and Témiscamingue as a whole,” said David McLaren, President of Onimiki Renewable Energy.

Onimiki Renewable Energy L.P. is a limited partnership formed to develop the Temiscamingue hydroelectric power project. The project will be developed on a 100% community basis, meaning that all revenues will be shared by public partners.
