An opportunity for members of Wolf Lake and Kebaowek to make their voices heard

Langue/Language : FR

Onimiki Renewable Energy thanks the members of the Wolf Lake and Kebaowek communities for inviting us to participate in an information and consultation meeting about the Onimiki project on January 27 and 28.

“Proper consultation with First Nations is essential for any development project. This consultation is even more meaningful in the context of the Onimiki project, since First Nations are partners and actively involved in the project’s development,” emphasized David McLaren, President of Onimiki Renewable Energy.

The meetings provided participants with updates on the progress of the project. The meetings also aimed to allow community members to share information with the project team about their use of the land. Members can still provide information to the project team. This information will be treated confidentially.

The presentation and maps used during the meetings are available on our website in our Documentation Center.
