The public information and consultation process conducted by Onimiki Renewable Energy aims to gather as much information as possible as part of the project’s environmental assessment process.
In order to provide as accurate a description as possible of the natural and human environment, and to identify all sensitive elements within the study area that could be impacted by the project’s activities, CIMA+ was commissioned by Onimiki Renewable Energy to reach out to various organizations, municipalities, citizens, and First Nations, etc. and gather all relevant information. Letters were sent to them to document land use, local issues, and community concerns.
This initiative complements the public and targeted information and consultation sessions that Onimiki Renewable Energy has organized to date as part of the project development process.
Additional information and consultation meetings are scheduled for this fall to present the latest project updates and address questions raised at previous meetings.
The environmental impact study is expected to be submitted toward the end of 2026.
